Peter Loch studied law and material sciences at the Universities of Göttingen and Jena and earned a postgraduate degree in patent engineering at Ilmenau University. He worked for several years in the patent department of a chemical company and in the civil service of the canton St. Gallen.

Peter Loch is in charge of drafting and negotiating research agreements, IP management and the licensing of inventions in the fields of informatics, physics, chemistry and medical technology.
